Full description of the Trip to Dendera and Abydos:

Your journey will begin early in the morning, the road is long (about 4 hours one way). But this trip is worth it. You will be able to visit two of Luxor's greatest attractions.

First of all, you will visit the city of Dendera. This city is magnificent, but despite being buried in the sand and excavated only in the 19th century, it is very well preserved. Moreover, this is not just a city, but the very center of the cult of one of the main goddesses of Egypt - Hathor. This goddess personifies joy, love, dance, fun, and motherhood. Then, you will also see many shrines and other buildings dedicated to other gods.

The second temple we will visit is Abydos. One of the largest and most magnificent. According to official figures, its age is about three and a half thousand years. During the tour, you will be able to see many frescoes and paintings, but some of them have not yet been deciphered.

Temple of Abydos (main) is unique. It is entirely of white marble. Also, there are several halls inside, behind them is the sanctuary of the six gods. The Gallery of the Kings is the most famous temple of Abydos.
