As a safety measure, overseas visitors to Egypt during the pandemic must present a printed negative PCR test certificate upon arrival. The test must be based on a nasal or oral swab and a certificate issued by an approved laboratory. Certificates in Arabic or English accept. A medical certificate for coronavirus testing must be within 72 hours before flying to Egypt.

Passengers who hold a COVID-19 vaccination certificate and are fully vaccinated at least 14 days before travel are exempt from testing. The vaccines received include AstraZeneca, Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer.BioNTech, Sinopharm, Sinovac, and Sputnik V. Children under the age of 6 are also not subject to this entry requirement.

Passengers who have tested on arrival should stay in the hotel room until they receive the results. Individuals usually receive notification of results within 12 to 24 hours. If the result is positive, you must self-quarantine for 14 days. The cost of this test is borne by the traveler.
