Giza pyramid complex
The Giza pyramid complex includes three main pyramids, six small pyramids, the great sphinx, and the Valley Temple. The complex dates back to the 4th dynasty 2400 years before Christ.
The great pyramid
The Great Pyramid belongs to “King Khufu”, it is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids of the Giza plateau and the only one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World that remains intact. The height of the great pyramid is 147 m, the number of stones used in the construction is 2,300,000 and it took twenty years to build.
The great sphinx
The Great Sphinx is the largest statue in the world, measuring 73 m. long, 19 m. wide and 20 m high. It is the oldest monumental sculpture known.
The Valley Temple
A granite mortuary temple used by the ancient Egyptians for the mummification process and this is the only one left on the Giza plateau.

The high dam
Built across the Nile River in Aswan. The Great Dam was built between 1960 and 70 and has had a significant effect on the economy and culture of Egypt.
The unfinished obelisk
The largest known ancient obelisk. It was ordered by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC), possibly to complement the Lateran Obelisk (which originally stood at Karnak, and was later taken to the Lateran Palace in Rome.
Temple of Philae
Philae temple dedicated to the goddess Isis of love and beauty. The temple complex was dismantled and relocated to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubian Campaign project, which protected this and other complexes prior to the completion of the Aswan High Dam in 1970.

It is the largest temple complex ever built by man and represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient Egyptian pharaohs. The Karnak Temple is actually three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples situated on 247 acres of land.
